Trust me... check out the film 'Waterfront', an early 1954 Marlon Brando film and you'll see the resemblance, and indeed more than a slight inspiration :-)
Thanks for the tip- will check it out. Watched In Bruges last night on HBO. Not my favorite look on Colin. I don't like the short stiff hair at all but his face and the great expressions .. wow. He really is a great actor and funny!
